Daily Devotional and Prayer
Today we are going to pray the Litany of the Blessed Virgin Mary for the second time during this Consecration. This prayer honors many of the titles for Our Lady so feel free to add in the Marian title you learned about in today’s video.
This prayer is also a litany, just like the Litany of the Holy Ghost! This new litany we will learn is a very famous one, and is dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary. It is sometimes called “The Litany of Loreto.” It was written in the Middle Ages, so Catholics have been praying this prayer for a long time! The names in this litany remind us of Mary’s holiness, kindness, beauty, and majesty. We also ask Mary to pray for us, so that we can grow closer to her Son, Jesus.
