We are going to continue praying the fifth part of the Litany of the Holy Name of Jesus. Remember the last two litanies we prayed? One for the Holy Spirit, and one for the Blessed Virgin Mary? We have one more…this litany is devoted to the Holy Name of Jesus!
Jesus’ name is powerful; the devil trembles at the very mention of Him! St. Paul even says that “at the name of Jesus, every knee should bow” (Philippians 2:10).
Think of how many times Mary spoke the name of Jesus during her life, whether when calling out that dinner was ready, or asking Him to help with chores, or telling Him how much she loved Him. When we say this litany, we too honor Jesus as the Savior of the world and the King of Heaven and Earth!
