Welcome to Day 31! Today we are going to think back to Our Lady of Fatima.
Daily Devotional and Prayer
We are going to pray the second half of The Magnificat. This prayer comes from the Blessed Mother herself! It is recorded in the Gospel of Luke, when she visits her cousin Elizabeth. In her prayer, she praises God for all the good things he has done for her and for the world!
Mary sings that Jesus is the Messiah, and that His future birth is the fulfillment of centuries of hoping and waiting for the Jewish people. Importantly, Mary is humble, and never draws attention to herself or her own holiness; she only praises God for his wisdom and mercy. God has kept the covenant He made with Abraham all those years ago, and Jesus is going to make many wonderful things happen in the world.
