Welcome to Day 5! We are going to talk about how Juan Diego was called to a specific mission by Our Lady.
Daily Devotional and Prayer
Today, we are going to begin praying the Litany to the Holy Ghost. A litany is a list of names and titles that we say out-loud as a prayer. Oftentimes, it’s prayed as a call and response between a leader and the congregation (a bit like how we pray the “Kyrie Eleison” at the beginning of Mass!). This particular litany is a list of names referring to the Holy Spirit (or Holy Ghost, as He is sometimes called). We use such wonderful names as “Ray of Heavenly Light” and “Holy Ghost, the Comforter” to show how powerful and good the Holy Spirit is! Near the end of the prayer, we ask the Holy Spirit to help us live holy lives and do great things.
